At Tower Transit, we are committed to working alongside government agencies to accelerate the transition towards a truly zero-emission public transport system. As a leader in zero-emission vehicle technology, we have the expertise to efficiently operate and maintain a diverse range of zero- and low-emission transport solutions across four continents.
Global Leadership in Zero-Emission Transport
In London, through our JV, we operated a fleet of over 300 fully electric buses from six electrified depots across 17 routes. We have also played a pioneering role in hydrogen mobility, successfully running 10 hydrogen fuel cell buses for over a decade, until 2022, as part of the TfL-led Clean Hydrogen in European Cities (CHIC) and 3Emotion projects.
In the Channel Islands, we introduced the first Battery Electric Buses in 2023, setting the stage for a full fleet electrification strategy. By the end of our current contract with the Government of Jersey, the entire fleet will be zero-emission. Our Jersey operation, LibertyBus, was awarded the Route One Bus Operator of the Year award in 2024, recognising our innovation in technology as well as the exceptional customer service and passenger growth.
Elsewhere in our Group, we provide bespoke zero-emission solutions tailored to each environment and client’s specific needs. For instance, in Australia, we operate the largest zero-emission bus fleet among privately owned public transport operators, with nearly 200 Battery Electric Buses and 4 Hydrogen Fuel Cell Buses. With major investments in grid upgrades and charging infrastructure, we are on track to expand this fleet to approximately 400 Battery Electric Buses within the next two years.
In Singapore, we run 13 battery electric buses in partnership with the Land Transport Authority, ensuring the vehicles deliver the required services despite the utilisation of air conditioning in the bus saloon during the entire year.
Finally in the USA, we manage a fleet of over 70 Battery Electric Vehicles, serving both public transport and private corporate clients. In the Silicon Valley, our battery electric coach services support the staff transport needs of leading blue-chip companies, further reinforcing our commitment to sustainable mobility solutions across different transport solutions.
